Beckham Wish To Stay In LA

There is a lot of expectations for David Beckham’s move to Paris St Germain, but now it comes to end. Beckham does not wish this move because of his family. He only gives priority to wife and children; he said children need stability and comfort. Galaxy also offers one year extension in deal and tries to keep him.
He said: “I had a good relationship with Leonardo when I was in Milan. I’m flattered he wants me to join him and the team in Paris.
“But I’m a Galaxy player, I live in Los Angeles, I am happy there.
“My family is my No 1 priority. They come first and where they are happy is where I stay, it’s that simple.
He added: “My children go to school in LA and have done for five years. They are at the age where stability is important, so we’ll see.
“I always said I will wait until the end of the season, see how I feel physically and then decide. There is no urgency on my part.
“We should make the play-offs, we still have two matches to go and I’ll focus on that and worry about the rest later.”

David Beckham has announced the launch of a new clothes range for men.

The LA Galaxy footballer has signed a long-term partnership with H&M and will bring his “bodywear line” to around 1,800 stores in 50 countries worldwide from February 2.

Beckham said: “Over the past year, I’ve been developing my Bodywear range with my team and I’m extremely positive about what we have designed and produced.

“The final piece in the jigsaw was a retail partner who has the vision and capability to distribute these products globally. In H&M we have found the perfect partner to collaborate with going forward.”

Beckham’s business partner Simon Fuller added: “This partnership with H&M is an important step in the evolution of David’s journey from sporting hero to entrepreneur and icon.

“H&M’s enthusiasm and support for this venture, combined with their scale and reach, will continue to enhance the power of David’s image around the world.”

Beckham was first reported to have signed a clothing range deal in early 2010. His ex-Spice Girl wife Victoria is herself a fashion designer and claims that she gets advice on clothes from her husband.

Beckham sidelined with slight stress fracture of spine

CARSON, Calif. — After two disappointing draws at home, LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham was hoping to help get the club back to its winning ways on the road against Colorado and San Jose.

He never got the chance.

A back injury banished him to the sidelines and kept him away from the Galaxy’s last two matches, and his chances of playing in Monday’s match against the Seattle Sounders appear bleak (10:30 pm ET; ESPN2, ESPN Deportes).

“The pain 10 days ago was bad,” Beckham said after training Friday. “I hate missing games, I hate missing trainings. It’s been a miserable couple of weeks.”

The injury — which Beckham said was a “slight stress fracture of the spine” — kept him apart from the team for the most part until Friday. He participated in training for the first time since the injury first flared up days after the Galaxy’s 2-2 draw with Toronto FC on June 11. However, he was not involved in full training with the club — as the team ran through short-sided games, for instance, Beckham watched from the side as the warm Southern California sun beat down on the training field.

Mostly, Beckham said he’s been doing exercises that target the injured region and could help him recover in the best way possible.

“I’ve been doing a lot of core work, strengthening work because obviously this type of injury, the core is the important part,” he said. “Once that’s right, hopefully it’s healed properly and then I step back in.”

Although the diagnosis may sound daunting, the injury itself is perhaps no more serious than any other type of back ailment.

“It’s a slight stress fracture in the spine. It’s the same kind of rehab as if I had a disc problem or some kind of back problem,” he said. “I’ve done a lot of rehab over the last 10 days, two weeks. It’s just about getting my core strength right so hopefully it holds up.”

The nature of the injury is a bit of a mystery, Beckham admitted.

“I don’t know whether it’s an old injury, a new injury. It’s one of those things that’s just flared up,” he said. “But like I said, it’s not a big problem. I’m back out with the guys training so it’s getting better.”

Beckham backs Malaria No More UK

TOMORROW is Father’s Day and I’ll be with my family at our home in LA enjoying time together and looking forward to the arrival of our baby girl in just a few weeks.

Being a parent is very rewarding but as mums and dads everywhere know all too well, having kids certainly keeps you on your toes.

We’re really lucky to live in a place where we can make sure our kids are well looked after.

I know that for many families around the world, it is very difficult as they live with the threat of serious diseases such as malaria.

This is not something that people in the UK or US need to really think about, but in Africa it’s a daily threat to family life.

I’ve learned about malaria from my time in Sierra Leone and South Africa as a Unicef Goodwill Ambassador and also from my role on the Leadership Council with Malaria No More UK.

It’s a privilege to support these charities who do such important work to protect vulnerable families around the world.

Helping hand ... David Beckham visiting Sierra Leone in 2008Helping hand … David Beckham visiting Sierra Leone in 2008Having a family and expecting a new baby should be a special time to be enjoyed, but in parts of Africa the day-to-day reality is that your wife or one of your children might well catch malaria and there is nothing you can do about it - it must be awful.

No father anywhere should lose his family to malaria.

I can’t imagine what it must be like to live with this constant fear for your family, as so many dads will be doing right now. If your child does catch malaria they’ll need lifesaving medicine quickly.

This can be a real problem if you don’t have much money and the closest hospital or clinic is miles away, so you’ve got no choice but to walk there which can take days.

Although malaria is preventable and treatable, malaria during pregnancy still claims the lives of 10,000 pregnant women and 200,000 babies each year.

I’m fortunate that I can do something to help. That’s why I back Malaria No More.

People need to know about the charity’s goal to help end deaths from malaria and that our support is making a difference.

Last year the charity helped protect more than two million people from the disease in Africa.

In the last ten years global malaria deaths have dropped by 20 per cent - this is really great news.

Simple things such as mosquito nets help save lives and I’d encourage anyone who can to donate to Malaria No More UK this Father’s Day.

A little really does go a long way - and a donation of just £5 is enough to buy, deliver and hang a mosquito net to protect a mother and child in Africa.
